Meet Jamie Clarke. He has scaled Mount Everest (twice) and has trekked through the Saudi Arabian on the back of a camel. He also is the Co-Founder of the very successful e-commerce company Live Out There. Suffice to say, this is a man who knows a bit about both entrepreneurship, and adventure.
According to Jamie, the two worlds are not all that different. Sure, on a mountain it’s lives at stake, but in business it’s livelihoods. Entrepreneurs assume responsibility for employees that have mortgages, families, and more; that’s a lot of pressure! It requires a unique amount of courage for both; the ability to go forward into the unknown, where the outcome is uncertain. Yet, the rewards for both, if successful, usually make it all worth it.
